Trump send “Last Warning”to Hamas

On Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump urged Palestinian militant group Hamas to accept a deal for the release of hostages held in Gaza as a “last warning.”

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated, “The Israelis have accepted my Terms.” “It is time for Hamas to accept as well.” He continued, “I have warned Hamas about the consequences of not accepting. This is my last warning, there will not be another one!”

In a subsequent statement, Hamas confirmed that it had received proposals from the United States, conveyed through mediators, to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. The group indicated that it was in discussions with mediators to develop these ideas further but did not provide specific details. Hamas also reiterated its willingness to negotiate the release of all hostages in exchange for a “clear announcement of an end to the war” and the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the enclave. Speaking to reporters while traveling from New York to Washington, Trump expressed optimism, stating, “I think we’re going to have a deal on Gaza very soon.” He did not offer any specifics but added that he believed all hostages would be returned, either “dead or alive,” concluding, “I think we’re going to get them all.” The day before, Israel’s N12 News reported that Trump had put forward a new ceasefire proposal to Hamas. According to the report, the proposed deal would require Hamas to release all 48 remaining hostages on the first day of a truce in exchange for the release of thousands of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails. The plan also called for negotiations to end the war during the ceasefire. An Israeli official confirmed that Israel was “seriously considering” Trump’s proposal but did not elaborate on its specific terms.
